Georgia conducted it’s second practice of its first game week of the 2020 season on Tuesday. That’s a mouthful but who cares, right? It was far from certain that we’d ever get to the point due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bulldogs have been back on campus since voluntary workouts could begin on June 8. They’ve been going through preseason practice since August 17 with no typical preseason camp. Despite having six weeks to prepare for the 2020 season, there were fewer practices since the SEC mandated that players get at least two days off per week.

Georgia vs Arkansas Game In HD TV Preview
The 4 Georgia Bulldogs will finally kick off their season when they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in SEC action Saturday afternoon from Razorback Stadium. The Dawgs are poised for another big season. The expectations are lofty but it won’t be easy considering their 1 QB and RB have both landed in the NFL. The Razorbacks have not won an SEC game since 2017 and are hoping a new coach and QB will yield better results. This is the first meeting between these foes since 2014 in a game Georgia won 45-32.
The Georgia Bulldogs are again tabbed as one of the top clubs in the country with the 4 ranking in the AP Top 25. They lost in last year’s SEC title game to LSU and defeated Baylor in the Sugar Bowl to conclude the season.
Georgia has some big shoes to fill on offense. Jamie Newman was projected as the new 1 QB in place of Jake Fromm but opted out earlier this month. This leaves way for either JT Daniels or D’Wan Mathis to start. Head coach Kirby Smart has yet to reveal who will start. Daniels has transferred over from USC and owns a 15:11 TD to INT ratio at the FBS level but is still recovering from an ACL injury and is questionable for this one. Redshirt Freshman D’wan Mathis is a talented young QB with potential.
